A good friend of mine asked me once: How is life through the lense? I haven’t heard from him for a while and I was really happy to hear from him. I neither wanted to tell him a whole story nor I wanted to be sparing of words. So I got on his metaphor and told him …
Life seems blurry sometimes when setting the focus wrong. Let’s take the case that my camera is auto-focus capable: life seems ok!
It was the first time combining metaphorism within the visualisation of my imagination. These must be a inception kinda thing, I guess. I end up noticing visual metaphors all over life that could be captured in a framed picture showing one thing but meaning the other. Even by the word framed I opened the chance for interpretation.
Every moment can be captured as a picture, but I don’t think that a moment starts being a picture when it’s caputered: For me every moment is a moving picture that can be looked at at the same way like a photography. I rather choose that way since the way of sighting the pure beauty in the picture or in the moment is much easier. And this ends up in joy, when others stay grey.
Photographers always look up for the perfect composition for their picture which includes the light, the background, the foreground,… But don’t we people also try to find the perfect composition for our special moments in life? Doesn’t it mean that there is a photography artist in all of us?
I am also just one of them …My name is Calvin Müller. I was born on July, 7th 1990 in Ochsenhausen, South Germany. I started taking pictures in 2006.
